Conditions of entry
Romanian citizens do not need visas to travel to the UK.
Entry into the UK is allowed passport or identity card as valid.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends the Romanian citizens who intend to stay for a long time in that State to address Romania's diplomatic mission and announce their presence in the region, communicating personal details to be contacted in emergencies.
Staying
Romanian citizens have a right of residence for a period of up to three months in the UK, without any conditions or formalities, except for the requirement to possess a valid identity card or passport.
The right of residence may be exercised for periods longer than three months if European Union citizens are in one of the situations described below:
Are employed or self-employed;
Are looking for a job;
Have sufficient resources for themselves and their family members, so as not to become a burden on the social assistance system during their period of residence and have comprehensive sickness insurance cover;
are enrolled in a private or public establishment, accredited or financed by the authorities of the host country, the main purpose of studying, including training, and provides competent authorities, by a declaration or other equivalent procedure, that they have sufficient resources to themselves and their family members, so as not to become a burden on the social assistance system during their period of residence;

Are family members accompanying or joining a Union citizen who meets the above conditions.
